I walk through the doors and down the long hall winding towards your majestic throne. Having only heard of you but not remembering if I’ve ever seen you face-to-face, my heart beats stutteringly as I draw closer to you since I don’t know what to expect - why have you summoned me? Have I done something so wrong that news of my wrongdoing have reached your ears?
Your glory shines so brightly that it makes the chandeliers and crystals that are about your room look dully pale. Then I feel it all of a sudden: a gentle breeze of warmth and love that I’ve felt since I was an infant as I hear the familiarity of your loving voice say to me, “Fear not, my child, for I’ve been with you always, and will never leave you.” My eyes tear up knowing I’m finally where I’ve always wanted to be, before you, awaiting to do your will. Is it my turn to be sent out, has that time finally come?
